Do you love Fifi?
Chances are, you or someone you love certainly loves Fifi; Since its debut in 2005, 'Fifi & the Flowertots' has become one of the best-loved children's shows available today. It is seen world-wide, and an army of little fans enjoy daily viewings of the Flowertots and their gentle adventures. Unlike other shows where the emphasis is on fast-paced action or violence, 'Fifi' goes at a much more moderate pace. Even the bad guys are not really bad, just mischievous. In the end, they are forgiven for being naughty, and life in the Flowertot garden returns to normal.

Fifi has many friends, some of whom are flowertots like herself. Others are insects, like her best friend, Bumble. Bumble is a honeybee, who keeps everyone supplied with honey. As his name would suggest, he's a bit of a bumbler, but determined. Fifi also has two very close flowertot pals, Violet and Primrose. They live together in a converted watermelon. Primrose is a bit 'posh', and loves dressing up (altho she has been known to make mud pies on occasion). Violet is not quite so attracted to glamour, but can always be counted on, when need be.

Stingo is a lazy wasp who likes nothing better than tricking a flowertot out of some food. He also prefers working as little as possible, or not at all if he can! His loyal follower is Slugsy, a not-too-bright slug that can always be counted on to get things wrong and mess up Stingo's plans. Slugsy also has a crush on Primrose, who certainly enjoys the attention. Neither Stingo or Slugsy are really "bad". When their plans ultimately go awry, they're often only given a slight lecture from Fifi, or a sharp remark from one of the others ("Stingo! You lazy wasp!", says Primrose).

Fifi has many other friends in the Flowertop garden, first and foremost her car, Mo. Mo will roll his (her?) headlights, and is always ready to help Fifi haul compost for her garden, or jars of honey for Bumble to fill up. There's also Aunt Tulip, a good-natured maternal type, and her young charge, Pip Gooseberry. Pip is the youngest of the flowertots, and like any young lad, sometimes gets in over his head. Poppy runs the shop, and Webby is a spider who tends to keep to her web, but is always friendly, even to the point of trying to help teach Pip to dance!

It's easy to see why young children are so drawn to the Flowertop Garden; A friendly place with lots of familiar faces, where nobody is really evil. It's a well-made and visually lively stop-animation programme, given a spark by having Jane Horrocks (Bubble from Absolutely Fabulous) do many of the voices, including Fifi. Maria Darling, a veteran voice actress (Frannie's Feet, among others), is also an important talent on the show. There is also a wide range of Fifi toys, books, duvets, party items and other merchandise available, allowing youngsters to stay in Fifi's world, just a little bit longer.
